Can Kevin Love forgive Timberwolves?

10:47 AM ET 12.15 | There seems little doubt that the Timberwolves' Kevin Love, who has a NBA-best 21 double-doubles, will be a starter in the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 16 in New Orleans. The big question is, now that David Kahn is gone as basketball president, whether the Wolves will give the 25-year-old Love the maximum contract he deserves. Kahn's replacement, Flip Saunders, has been working hard to erase the negative impact Kahn had on Love in previous contract negotiations. But Love has a long memory.

He is gone especially if they don't make the playoffs. Aldridge will go to Dallas and Love will go back home to Portland.

Blazers are red hot right now. If that continues for the season, will they let LA go?

Lmao...really?To play the same position as Dirk?If he left Portland, which seems very unlikely with their start, it wouldn't be to Dallas who has zero by way of assets.Aldridge will go to the Lakers or Celtics in Free Agency....same with Love.I'm pretty sure he's taken Chicago off his list of approved trade destinations leaving the Clippers as the the only team standing. But, if he really wanted to win, he'd go to OKC for Ibaka and a pick. The Thunder would be HELL.Don't count out the Cavs and Suns who have 4 picks in the Andrew Wiggins Sweepstakes or the Magic who have picks and young talent galore.I mean, Miami would have a better shot at either guy than Dallas. If your star big was leaving anyway, would you rather have the Bostrich, or Jae Crowder and Shawn Marion?

Lol @ the Cavs, sun, and magic

Where are you going w/ this? If it's a trade than Dallas doesn't have a chance but I'm talking about free agency. Aldridge will be the man in his hometown. Dirk will be retiring soon. Okc, Clippers, and Heat don't have cap space for him. I don't know if he'll take on the pressure of the Lakers... Of course there's a great chance that he will resign w/ the Blazers...

They are choking again. Nowvthey have a maxed out payroll though and just aren't that good. Making the 7 or. 8 seed and getting run 4-0 or 4-1, will No way be enough to keep him IF they even do that.

Martin avg around 20
Pek at 16 and 9
Rubio almost 9 assists a game.
Love in his prime at like 23 and 13

And they still suck despite all these guys in their primes

the Twolves have the longest streak of missing the playoffs in the NBA (the pro sports league that is EASIEST to make it) for a reason

they have terrible leadership and just know how to lose

trust me- i know what its like to see a team that just figures out ways to lose games- I watch the Browns- despite having leads all the time, or up 2 tds like the Pats game, they FOUND A way to lose....and they even have some talent...Haden is a top 5 corner, Gordon leads the NFL in receiving yards despite missing multpe games, and Joe Thomas is arguably the best lineman inthe game

the Twolves have multiple guys IN THEIR PRIMES, and guys that are producing

Pek is in the smack-dab middle of his prime....pulling down near double digit rebounds and over 15 points a game

Love is in the middle of his prime, and is an MVP candidate

Rubio is at the beginning of his prime- and is putting up nearly 9 assists a night (despite being a horrendous shooter- but you guys know my feelings on Rubio)

Kevin Martin was brought in to be a scorer and he is averaging 20 a night, is still in his prime (maybe the back end, but still 20 ppg is 20 ppg) and is playing well

its just a team that has no clue how to win- they are LOSERS- and what losers do best is lose games they should win- they are the Browns of the NBA- just when you think they are turning the corner, they will find ways to lose you just have not imagined

missing the playoffs for near a decade in the NBA is almost IMPOSSIBLE....

but losers lose--- and thats the Twolves- and thats why Love will be on the move when his 2nd contract is up

in the NBA everyone gets 2 contracts....their rookie deal- and then there- i gotta take the money and make myself a multi-millionaire- over 50 million- just in case deal....

after that- players do what they want....Love is coming close to the end of that 2nd deal.......

some team is going to get a monster of a player unless Minne can stop being the biggest loser franchise in the NBA of the last decade
