07:30 AM ET 12.17 | To this point of the season, it isn't what Chris Kaman had in mind when he landed in Los Angeles. The veteran center says he joined the team as a free agent this summer because he saw opportunity to play significant minutes and re-establish his value after a couple of up-and-down seasons with New Orleans and Dallas. Instead he's found himself at the end of the Lakers' bench. "It's absolutely not what I was looking for," Kaman told ESPNLosAngeles.com on Monday morning. ... In the 13 games he has played for the Lakers, Kaman has averaged 8.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in less than 17 minutes. Still, it's been a frustrating experience. "Never did I think I would come here and not play, otherwise I probably wouldn't have come," Kaman said. "I had a bunch of other options, but I saw opportunity here."

You suck.

You sucked in Dallas last year.

Quit your damn crying.

Hey, it's not like other teams were trying to outbid each other for your services. Probably why your minutes aren't what you wished for...

LOL...DJ where you at on this....

Agree Otis. The guy is a B.U.M.

Kobe is no doubt telling Kaman how to play center too.

8 points and 5 rebounds in 17 minutes is pretty good. If he was playing more, say 34 minutes a game, he'd likely be at 16 points and 10 rebounds.

You're probably right Guam...

The problem with Kaman is injuries, and when you go down with an injury and the guy behind you is playing his butt off it becomes hard to return to the line-up. So the only option for Kaman is to wait until an injury occur and take advantage of that opportunity. Kaman can be soft at times like Gasol and that makes it difficult having two soft big guys on the court at the same time. The Lakers are looking for a "banger" in the paint to get those tough rebounds and play solid shut down defense.

Kobe don't need centers. He is allergic to them. Right now he is the best PG for the Lakers. Great win last night... Did he play in the 4th qtr or they just benched him because he had his max minutes? 32 minutes! Wow! A big difference from the <24 minutes a game! Most minutes for the Lakers last night...lol

Tell us how you really feel

He pulled this same crap in Dallas last year when Carlysle buried him at the end of the bench. Went crying to the local media about "if I had known this, I wouldn't have signed here"...

He has a seriously over-inflated opinion about his ability.

Yuup, 8 points, 6 assist and 5 turnovers. They should have limited his minutes from the get go because the team was playing good w/out him. Limiting his minutes would have allowed the players to play the same way they were playing before he came back... Kobe fanatics will hate this suggestion again...
