Bigger Bulls moves on the horizon?

07:32 AM ET 12.17 | The signs are there in Chicago. HoopsHype.com was the first to report over the weekend that Bulls officials arranged a Saturday sit-down with Real Madrid forward Nikola Mirotic. Sources close to the situation later told ESPN.com that the Bulls are indeed doing everything they can on the buyout front to be able to bring Mirotic to the NBA next season. ... Whether the Bulls continue with this approach -- by seriously shopping forwards Luol Deng and/or Carlos Boozer -- will play out over the next two months leading up to the Feb. 20 trade deadline. Yet it can already be said that the fondness within the organization for Mirotic is such that the versatile 6-10 forward ... is regarded as a bigger part of the future by the Bulls' brain trust than either longtime [Tom Thibodeau] favorite Deng or Boozer.

Time to rebuild since Mr Glass can't be counted on.

Too bad Rose's new injury set the Bulls back to this point. I was looking forward to a good season out of them. Would have been nice to see them compete with the Heat and Pacers at a top level but as frencie would say, c'est la vie...

This is what Rose was scared to happen. Poor Rose! The bulls are not thinking about him...

That euro dude has got some good write ups....he might be legit.

He's a typical Euro-League combo-forward.

He shoots the ball well.....scores well.....plays defense like it's a suggestion.....rebounds like it's an after-thought.

He has talent.....time will tell whether he's the next Dirk or the next Darko.

Personally, I'd be happy if he were the next Toni (Kukoc)....circa 1998/99.

Stop helping the Lakers!

This dude is a D'Antoni wet dream. He has a few things going for him on offense 3 point range and he is 6-10. He would be the perfect compliment to someone like Rose but he needs to learn some defense. He needs to come over next year so by the time Rose is ready the team should be in transition. Boozer likely gone pair him with Gibson as the scoring off the bench with Gibson starting.

Pau and Kobe?

Blessing in disguise for the Bulls. If they keep losing they can grab an elite prospect maybe even the top pick to pair with Rose as well...

"Pair with Rose"? CHI needs to move on from Rose bro. He's not that MVP player anymore, and lots wrong with his mental framework after back to back season ending injuries.

They need to trade Deng/Boozer and start collecting assets. This bunch, as a contender, is done!!!

Too late.

The Lakers should've done Pau for Boozer two years ago......when I first suggested it.

No? The bulls don't need, nor should they want, Pau.

BTW....."Pau and............whoever makes the money work".....that would be a lot of salary (about $15 million) to make the "money work" (LOL) !

And just how the heck do you know this? You some sort of mind-reading, clairvoyant psychologist?

By the time Rose is back I think Boozer should be gone. Rose is not done completely but I am sure he will have most of his speed which is his advantage. I don't think they need to completely rebuild but they need some younger pieces. They need a SG badly to create off the dribble, and take some of the load off Rose to adjust his game. Even if they keep Deng I think Boozer is most likely gone. The long term move would be to trade Deng for a 1st round pick and a roll player

PG Rose/Hinrich/whoever Teague
SG Butler/future pick/
SF Deng/ Butler/Pick
PF Gibson/Miroti
C Noah

Many of you either forget.....or just plain don't know....that Deng is a free agent after this season.

The chances of trading him for a first-round pick are remote unless they trade him NOW to a contender who places little value on their upcoming picks.

I just don't see the Bulls helping another team get better......or helping Deng by sending him to a contender during this season.

I do see the Bulls trying to resign Deng after the season......and they will probably fail.
