07:43 AM ET 12.17 | In the case of Milan Lucic, perhaps he never really can go home again. [Lucic] said he's pretty much done with his hometown of Vancouver after a video of what he described as an unprovoked attack outside a bar in the wee hours of the morning after the B's 6-2 loss to the Canucks ended up on YouTube. He also said that he plans to pursue legal action against his alleged assailant, whom he said he did not know. "Unfortunately everyone's seen the video that's out, something obviously happened late last Saturday night. Something I'm not proud of, but it was something that was part of an unprovoked attack on Saturday night when I was punched in the face on two separate occasions, like I said, unprovoked," said Lucic. "And from this point forward, I'm looking to pursue this in a legal manner."

Something tells me the feeling is mutual.

Sadly video taping fights and posting them online is a growing trend, and I imagine for any professional athlete getting caught in such a situation is a no win scenario.

Very true - any drunk idiot (well, other than Lord Irk who would be too concerned with getting his drink refilled) can just come along and start crap just for their own 15 minutes of fame - or should I say stupidity? Of course while their friends all have their cell phone cameras ready - waiting for the athelete to blow his top and throw a few punches, etc.

Maybe the athlete shouldn't put himself in positions where he might be filmed about to pummel a member of the general public? Just a thought.

As I said yesterday, get in your car the moment something looks "iffy" and drive away. None of this "Do you know who the "Bleep" you are messing with?" Yes, I imagine they do, and they will continue to do so.

The real question is what was Ryan Miller doing in Vancouver?

Very true as well, Danny.

Maybe Milan should have just spent the evening at mom and dad's house?

He said he needed to unwind and relax after the game.

Sometimes mom and dad just add to the stress. Nothing like a couple of drinks and a bar fight to get loose. :)

Watch him get traded to Vancouver!

Wouldn't that be hilarious?

Certainly would be interesting (add-in Marchand too), but there isn't anything on the Nucks roster that the B's would want.

Yet Peter Chiarelli found a way to sent Seguin to Dallas, didn't he?

And then they'll want him to take the home-town discount.

I don't know why. They got spanked by the Nux and the 6-2 score was flattering to the Bs.

Give Lucic credit for not losing it and starting a real fight. Not sure about taking legal action unless he thinks it will be a deterrent for this sort of activity.
