07:27 AM ET 12.19 | From a number of angles, this hasn't been a great week for Mike Woodson, whose Knicks managed to win on Wednesday night. [And] he attempted to clarify his public miscommunication with Amar'e Stoudemire before Wednesday's game against the Bucks. Stoudemire had refuted Woodson's contention on Tuesday that the power forward would "be out a while" because of swelling in one of his surgically repaired knees, saying in all caps on Twitter that he's "NOT INJURED." "That's a blip on my part, because he's not injured. You guys kind of ran with that," Woodson told reporters before returning center Tyson Chandler and the Knicks held their morning shoot-around at Bradley Center. "My thing is he's going to be out. There's a chance he can possibly play when we get back home based on my conversation I had after he had treatment."

With Amare you take what you can get but you also have to be concerned about breaking team chemistry with the inconsistency of his minutes and availability.

His best use will be a 'practice body' till his contract runs out or retires prematurely.

I think he will make a big difference if he gets healthy. Having a cleanup guy at the rim makes everhyone's defense better. Guys aren't as quick to try and pass their man when they will run into a shot blocker in the paint.

A little defense and the Knicks start winning a lot of close games, IMO. Good luck either way.

Good morning.

And still probably should have lost , if the basketball gods had their way....wtf was barnani thinking?

that is an oxymoron-
NY players don't think.

I heard jr tweeted, basically that he can't win- when he doens't shoot and they lose he gets flack, when he takes 23 shots and they win, he gets flack.......LOL

he is the case study on stupidity
- you think someone could tell him that there is a middle ground?
maybe, say 12-15 shots ?

Your a washed up bum, Bruh!

Woody should be fired right NOW just for letting JR shoot 17 3s. yeah SEVENTEEN!!!!!

he blows..one of the worst contracts in modern NBA history

everyone knew it but the Knicks too...who were the only team stupid enough to give him an uninsured contract- AND burn their amnesty on 1 year of Billups - and throw away their trump card in case what was predicted to happen ACTUALLY CAME TRUE.....which obviously it did

no one can accommodate a 25 million dollar expiring contract either...he will NOT get traded next year... I guarantee you that

Not really. The Knicks suck and that's really all there is to it. This is NY, media capital of the country, crossroads of the world, and as such is an ongoing story even when there is none. And because these flunky reporters are lazy for the most part, they default to the old standby. A NYC story.
