Jury is still out on Helfrich

07:35 AM ET 12.19 | The questions continue, some without answers. Because of what happened in Tucson, we do not yet know about Mark Helfrich as a motivator. And because of what happened at Stanford, as well as on that frigid Civil War evening, we do not yet know whether Helfrich will always be a prepared head coach. ... Can Helfrich sufficiently pull the strings to motivate his team in what amounts to a consolation bowl? And can he not only game plan, but also make adjustments on the fly against one of college football's legends in Brown? Judging from his body of work this season, the jury is out on those questions. With perhaps the most talented roster in school history -- stacked with as many as four first-round NFL Draft picks if you believe some mock drafts -- the Ducks were dominated in their two losses.

PDX could give some good insight on this subject, given he lives in Oregon and is a UGa alum.

PDX, does Oregon have the chops to compete with UGaly fans in bashing their team, or no?

If he doesn't beat an average beaten up Texas team then the jury may come back with a decision. He does have the "lets win this for Mack" issue to deal with but if Texas loses I am just going to say its' because they werent up for the game still depressed about Mack leaving.

I was going to go with the we lost the conference championship game against Baylor and dropped all the way from a BCS bowl to the San antonio bowl and just weren't up for the game but since the hammer dropped I have to update the excuse.

LMFAO!!!! Are you making excuses for a Texas loss against the Ducks. You are in a win-win situation. If the Longhorns lose, then they are/were beaten up and if they win then Oregon are/were overrated.. :-)
