Notre Dame, Texas confirm 2015-16 games

10:49 AM ET 12.21 | Texas will open the 2015 football season at Notre Dame and then host the Irish to begin the 2016 season, Notre Dame confirmed Friday in releasing its schedules. Notre Dame and Texas had previously agreed to the four-game series, with additional games in 2019 and 2020.

Texas still doesn't get it.

Wouldn't it be better to schedule Western Carolina ... or Furman ... or South Alabama .. or Samford ... or Troy ... or Chatanooga ... or Presbyterian? To heck with Notre Dame put some FCS schools on the schedule! It's what Saban would do if he came to Texas.

I'm glad to see the Kelly-Kiffin rivalry renewal in 15-16.

Everyone on here is in a bowl game except NW & Purdue (and NW is not an easy out) and two of them are in BCS bowl games.

Not saying it cant be done, a team like Bama or your Buckeyes could beat anyone of those teams but it will be another true test for coach Brian Kelly and his new coordinators.
