04:05 PM ET 12.21 | The New York Knicks have had some embarrassing efforts during their afternoon weekend games, which has led to head coach Mike Woodson attempting to shake things up a little bit. Today, the Knicks host the Memphis Grizzlies at Madison Square Garden, so head coach Mike Woodson had the team stay together in a hotel on Friday night in hopes of getting the team more rested and prepared before their noon tip-off. The team had a 10 p.m. curfew. It is an odd change, but one that may be crazy enough to work.

LOL

JR Smith did shoot 50% from the field (6/12) had 16 pts, 7 assists, 4 steals, 4 rebounds- one of his standout games of the season....

wow.....who would have thought? JR played decent when he did not go out getting wasted the night before and was forced to act like a professional !, LOL

Iman Shumpert has been just dreadful lately

1/7 for 2 points??? this guy has just mailed it in.......the knicks absolutely turned this mediocre player into a dreadful one---- this bum is shooting 35% and averaging 6 points and less than 5 rebounds a game-------and they tried to offer him for RONDO?!!!!!!

what a joke.....only Dolan ......

whats the going rate for a pouting player, that cannot shoot, and barely gets 6 points a game?

RONDO? LOL, what a joke

the 4 Knicks starters not named Carmelo Anthony scored 17 points

COMBINED

just sell off every single piece from this abortion of a team, get as many draft picks as possible to recoup the depleted coffers, fire the coach, fire the GM, apologize to the fans and rebuild with some patience

If I were a knick fan.....I'd sign for that......

BUT

the problem is even if they did all that-
dolan would still own the team and they'd likely go down the same old route....which is why I jumped ship.
there is ZERO future there as long as dolan owns the team
no reason to waste energy rooting for a team that
not only has no hope- but plays bad basketball to boot

Got that one right, Jack ;)

They're trying everything! What they're missing is that the players are the ones costing them the game and not about staying in a hotel...

We are all witnesses to the fall of Rome (NY). Most cities have to endure one bad team but NYers are gluttons for punishment.

EXACTLY.The Knicks - and their fans - need to realize something very important...There is NO RUSH when rebuilding. It takes time to put together a quality product. The Knicks fans have not held the grand prize for 40 YEARS. Taking shortcuts and trying to climb back in 2 years - versus doing it the proper way over 4-5 years - is NOT going to make much of a difference at this point.Think about it - it's a matter of the gap being 42 years versus 44-45 years. That's about a 5% difference. It's not worth saving 5% and sacrificing the quality of the team in the process.

BINGO!

But we have everything else. Sports are just something for us to spend our copious amount of discretionary income on. Sure we'd like to win every year, but we accept that we can't have EVERYTHING. It would be even less fair for the rest of the country.

I mean come on. We're resented as it is. We don't need to rub people's faces in our municipal greatess. We can endure bad sports teams.
