12:39 PM ET 12.22 | The USC Trojans were able to dominate the Fresno State Bulldogs Saturday afternoon in the 2013 Las Vegas Bowl, with Clay Helton serving as the interim coach. While Helton's status with the team was uncertain moving forward due to the coaching changes and hiring of Steve Sarkisian, Helton proved his worth to the team and it appears that he will be rewarded. Multiple Los Angeles media outlets are reporting that Sarkisian has decided to keep Helton on the staff. Helton served as the offensive coordinator for USC, but there is no word on whether or not he will continue to run the team's offense.

It's got to be tough to find coaches willing to come to Gville knowing that if things don't turn around quick, it's pink slip time.

Another top tier coach that won't be going to Austin. The pool is getting more and more shallow.

Austin is not the place for assistants to earn their head coaching wings. But, with his USC experience, he'd fit well in the cheat-like-hell-but-don't-get-caught conference.

The problem, though, is that he got caught cheating every time (probably?). From deflating footballs, switching players numbers, and so many other stupid and insignificant cheating that he just would not work out in the SEC, even though he's the only coach in SEC history to get violated for cheating, for having recruits run through smoke machines and having UT co-eds blow them... er cheer for them.
