07:31 AM ET 12.23 | Right through quite possibly the end, 2013 has not been Von Miller's season. The Broncos' strongside linebacker left early in the game Sunday against the Houston Texans with a knee injury. He will have an magnetic resonance imaging exam among other tests Monday to determine the extent of the injury. There is fear Miller suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament, which would end his season. There also is hope tests will reveal his injury won't be that severe and he might be able to brace up for the playoffs. "There's always some concern when your teammate goes down, especially a guy like Von, who's really starting to click now," said Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey. "It's unfortunate, but hopefully it's something minor and something he can come back from real quick."

Nowhere near as critical as if a significant member of the offense were to go down. They've known for a while now that the defense is a liability - thus they need to be able to score 35 points every week.

Exactly- If Manning catches a cold then they should be worried.

Not a good idea to hold your breath in a place where the air is so thin to begin with.

I keep hoping the Raiders will beat the Broncos next week, but, nah, that's not going to happen.

Going to be an interesting playoffs in The AFC where defense is almost non existent!

Wait until the playoffs start and bet the under. could be like the NBA, nobody plays defense until the playoffs. The Bengals and Pats have defenses .

The Broncos did okay at the beginning of the season without Miller. Their D will be okay.

Agreed.

December 24, 2013  03:07 PM ET

again they were better in pass defense but not rush defense, as there rush defense the first 6 weeks without miller guess where they ranked in rush defense #1 without miller, and i believe 24th or 25th with miller. i think what has really hurt there pass defense all season has been being without champ bailey, as he still is a good pass defender

Has he been to Dr. Jerry Jones for a second opinion?
