Can't make sense of these Pistons

07:35 AM ET 12.23 | There's no great shame in losing to the Heat at home, and coach Maurice Cheeks has basically admitted that wins may not come pretty in 2013-14. But even Cheeks couldn't foresee the roller-coaster nature of his team's performances to date, where inconsistency is the only constant. The last two home games, losses to the Houston Rockets and Charlotte Bobcats on consecutive nights over the weekend, is a clear example of nobody knowing which team will step on the floor on a given night. "You know we're still trying to get better," Cheeks said. "As I said to our players, there's going to be some good nights and bad nights. Last night (Friday) and (Saturday) was not our best." Cheeks believes the Bobcats loss led to the poor showing against the Rockets.

Really?
You didn't see inconsistency coming?

Have you looked at the roster?

They will be a playoff team when all said and done though

When you got Jennings as your PG, you'll have inconsistencies. One night he is a great PG and than most nights he is just a mediocre PG.

A young team without a "killer" instant. All this team need at the moment is an attitude; a very bad attitude that would bring about a "killer" attitude every time they take the floor. I watch this team and am also in lost for a description as to why they can't put it together and just demolish teams. Only other solution is to acquire a two guard that has a green light to score, create, and set the table. The current point guards are doing a great job but they do not lead well.

This young team needs a true defensive mindset. The offense will come but they need a mindset where they don't let the other team score.

Just not Jennings. You got Smith who is a total head case. You got 'Dre, again a very talented guy but not easily coachable. And then you got a nice guy as a HC who should NEVER be a HC in this league. Perfect recipe for a totally inconsistent team!!

They are fun to watch..........
