07:45 AM ET 12.23 | Senior guard Jerian Grant is no longer teammates in the traditional sense with the group that lost by only three points to No. 3 Ohio State. The 6-foot-5 Grant, who is a senior academically but a junior athletically after sitting out his freshman season to preserve a year of eligibility, announced early Sunday evening that he is no longer enrolled at Notre Dame. A first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference preseason selection, Grant made the revelation on the school's website, saying he was done "due to an academic matter that I did not handle properly." ... A source close to the situation said that Grant, who scored 18 points in 38 minutes Saturday, knew the Ohio State game would be his last. The process of deciding Grant's academic future had been in motion much of the previous week.

I watched that game, ND should've won it but they choked it away. tOSU got away with one.

What? Clearly the Buckeyes aer a far superior team. They hung in there and turned it up precisely when they needed to. I can honestly say that I never had a doubt. There is a reason they are ranked#3.

Doc, of course you are entitled to your opinion, and yes the Bucks are a better team but ND was ahead by, what, 8 with about a minute or so to play? Yes, you could argue the OSU press was effective. But ND did not hold the ball as they should in that situation and played to get fouled and shoot free throws -- had freshmen in key places (dangerous right there) -- and the ND coaching staff had multiple blunders, including being out of TOs well before the end of the game. Not to mention they shot terribly from the stripe. I still say tOSU got away with one there.

A little suspicious that he plays Saturday and announces that he isn't eligible academically on Sunday... usually matters like that are taken care of during the week not the day after you play a top 5 team.

Because it's still the fall semester and fall grades are due by 3:45 p.m. Monday.

But not good enough for Golson to say "pssst, hey bruh, don't do this...."

I see a pattern here. Definite tip of an iceberg.

Frankly, if the lime green leg warmers are ever worn again by any member of the Domers' b'ball squad, the school should be busted down to DIII.

First the glow in the dark helmets and now the limey leggos. Another pattern it appears. Would not be surprised to see a whole ND team dressed in Drag next.
