05:28 PM ET 12.23 | Earlier this season, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews missed some time with a thumb injury before eventually returning to the field with a giant club on his injured hand. Matthews was hoping to be a part of the team's final playoff push, but he suffered an injury on Sunday that could keep him out for the Packers final game in Week 17. Matthews suffered the thumb injury during a sack of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and then he headed to the locker room for further evaluation. Unfortunately for Matthews, it appears that the injury was a "repeat" of the fractured thumb he suffered earlier in the year.

Is it really a repeat or was the thumb still injured to a degree?

....yeah, but will it affect his ability to shoot TV ads?

Good news...the hair is uninjured.

He should just stop sticking it where the sun don't shine.

"Clay Matthews suffered "repeat" of thumb injury"

Some people have clay feet. Matthews has clay thumbs.

This probably makes Cutler sleep better ...

Better start calling him 'China Doll'. He did not miss a few games, he missed 5 games, came back with a club, stunk the place up and has really done little this year. Last year it was six games not including pre season with ham strings and a few games the year before.
No wonder his motor rev's unlike other players he only plays part of the season.

He had one good year, 2011 when they won the sb. He also had all pro Jenkins on the left side terrorizing QB's by chasing them into Mathews arms. They got rid of Jenkins (humungus mistake on GB's Part) and Mathews looks average at best.

Some say it heightens the moment of ecstasy.
