'Melo out into the New Year?

07:30 AM ET 12.24 | On the upside, the Knicks did win Monday night in Orlando -- even if they lost a few players. Carmelo Anthony went down, Raymond Felton went down and the Knicks were ready to go down, collapsing and blowing almost all of their 25-point third-quarter lead. Somehow the Knicks escaped with a 103-98 victory at Amway Center over the Magic, but not even a win can be savored in this jinxed Knicks season. Anthony could be lost for the Christmas clash with the Thunder -- or longer despite his optimism. Felton could be lost for at least a month after hearing a pop in his right groin. Knicks embattled coach Mike Woodson can't seem to catch a break. "It's just been that type of year," Felton said as he hobbled out of the locker room.

On this Christmas Eve a Christmas song for everyone:

Christmas time is here again
Santa needs a helping hand
He cannot find a single sheep
To draw his sleigh across the night
So all the waiting Christmas trees
Gonna hear the master say

There's no presents
not this Christmas
There's no presents
Tom and Jerry drinking sherry
They don't give a damn

Christmas time is here again
Santa needs a helping hand
It's getting very very late
Saint peter's closed the golden gate
And Donald Duck is still in bed
I wonder who is gonna help

There's no presents
Not this Christmas
There's no presents
Tom and Jerry
All that sherry
They don't give a damn

There's no presents
Not this Christmas
There's no presents
Tom and Jerry
Still drinking sherry
They don't give a damn

I'm dreaming of a white sabbath

Why be discouraged? With the Nets out of it now, the Knicks have EVEN lesser competition to easily grab a playoff spot. And good for 'Melo to get some rest, he's played ridiculous minutes and he's held his end of the bargain for the Knicks. The coach needs to figure out other guys, and not just give a green signal for some D'bag to shoot 17 3s!!!! Fix it or get fired, bro!

Damn injuries are ripping through the NBA.

And it just gets worse! I heard the lottery picks are not bad this year. Teams who are suppose to be tanking are winning. Teams who's suppose to make it to the playoffs are tanking. Both are not by choice...lol

It kind of ruins it all. Both NY teams are decimated, Chicago is snake bitten, The Lakers are hurting.

There will be no healthy teams left to really challenge the Heat except for the Pacers in the East.

There are a few teams that are tanking on purpose I think.

Sadly enough for NY and Brooklyn both of them have already given away their 1st round pick. So the worse they are the more they help somebody else from past trades.

I'm glad my Cs aren't tanking....

Even though a lot of C FANS think they should...

My feeling is that why would anybody want to go to a team that loses on purpose...
