Roy predicting key return

07:40 AM ET 12.24 | Happy holidays, Colorado. Alex Tanguay will play again for the Avalanche this season. At least, that is the prediction of coach Patrick Roy -- though exactly when that will happen, he doesn't know. But the fact Tanguay, 34, is likely to play at some point is good news for an Avalanche team that has missed the dimension he added. The Avs have probably missed the veteran, who first played for Colorado in 1999, most on the power play, where his patience with the puck created time and space for teammates. Tanguay, out with a hip injury that is related to a previous knee injury, could resume skating later in the week, Roy said. "Right now, he's making a lot of progress," Roy said. "He might skate after the Christmas break. We'll see how it goes. As we speak, he is not out for the year."

I was kind of confused when I read the headline and saw the picture. Maybe the interns are hitting the punch early this year.

Cut them some slack BF they're sill tying to figure this out.

"Kessel ranks second in the NHL behind Alex Ovechkin in shots on goal with 151, but 195th in shooting percentage at 11.3 per cent."
