07:23 AM ET 12.25 | Tom Coughlin, who isn't accustomed to losing seasons, is headed for his first since 2004, which has led to all manner of speculation about his future. But Coughlin didn't sound like a coach ready to walk away on Christmas Eve Tuesday. When asked if he still has passion for the game, he responded to the Redskins media in a conference call strongly. "Sure, absolutely," he said. "I mean, probably even more because there are a lot of those that are telling you that you didn't do very well and you're not a very good coach and you're not this and you're not that, so perhaps you have something to prove." That's a sentiment that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, who's taken plenty of heat this season, can understand. Shanahan, whose Skins are in last place in the NFC East, hinted in a conference call with Giants media that he wants to come back.

Could it be that the NFC East will have a garage sale on coaches?

Coughlins getting pretty old

Shanahan and his boss don't see eye to eye

Garrett, unless he beats Philadelphia, well some of us thought he was a temporary fill-in from the beginning........... Jerry says he doesn't need a GM, lets see how good he is at rebuilding a team. They need a whole new coaching staff, a new QB and various other players.
