Moreno's Denver days numbered?

07:20 AM ET 12.26 | Getting the band back together isn't easy in the NFL, and Denver is no different. The Broncos have 16 players headed for free agency, including 12 who have started at least one game in 2013. The list ranges from every-game offensive starters Eric Decker, Knowshon Moreno and Zane Beadles to veteran backups Quentin Jammer, Michael Huff and Winston Justice. ... The toughest decision may be on Moreno. The Broncos drafted Ronnie Hillman two years ago in the third round and Montee Ball this year in the second round, with the plan of replacing Moreno when he became a free agent after this season. But nothing alters plans like player performance. Moreno has been invaluable as a rusher (1,015 yards), receiver (55 catches) and blocker (Manning has taken a league-low 17 sacks).

Better think about the QB situatoin....if you win the SB do's Manning call it quits or do's he try for another yr, either way its time to start thinking about it, sounds like the RB situatoin will take care of itself with the past draftees.

Good Player who might be a cap casualty!!!

He's exactly the type of RB that Matt Ryan could use down in Atlanta.

The trick to contending for a Super Bowl is to get your talented mid-round, mid-salaried players to play at a high level in the few years prior to their signing a big contract. After that, you will no longer be able to afford them all. Timing is everything.

Moreno was the 9th player taken in the 2009 draft, not a mid rounder. He's shown improvement every year, but I think most Broncos fans would have labeled him a bust until the last part of last season. I don't think anybody expected him to play at the level he has this year.

if Manning comes back, I think you try and keep him. If he doesn't, draft another running back. Ball has shown flashes, but Hillman makes too many mistakes that hurt the team.

Who would have thought that Manning would outlast Moreno ?

He'll be a cap casualty.

Monte "has fumbled the "Ball Several times this year at crucial times in drives. Moreno has pulled the majority of playing time for that reason. Would not be surprised if Denver , somewhere in draft pickup a RB and a QB(Depending quality of QBs left. Look for Denver to choose a LB or DB in first round. Look for Decker to get a new contract.

They drafted Osweiler a couple years ago. He's tall.

He is guaranteed $20,000,000 if he desires to play football in 2014.......me thinks he will be back regardless of who wins the Super Bowl.

With Manning, Fifty or Otis could play running back at a high level.

Not me, mind you, but certainly Fifty or Otis.

If Denver wins the SB, they all stay for a try at a back-to-back. Replacing Knowshon should be easy.
