LeBron James questionable with strained groin

08:17 AM ET 12.28 | It wasn't especially apparent when LeBron James made the first three-pointer, or the second, or third, that late spree of nine points in 31.3 seconds of overtime nearly saving the night for the Miami Heat. But after he spoke to the media and revealed that he'd strained his groin sometime way back in the second quarter, James' discomfort became painfully clear. The simple walk to the shower was a struggle. "It ain't feeling too good right now," James said. And so, now, after the Heat dropped a 108-103 decision to the Sacramento Kings -- their sixth loss this season to a team currently under .500 -- there's a cloud over another of the team's highly anticipated showdowns. After a day's rest, James scored 24 points, with nine rebounds and seven assists in a Dec. 18 victory against Indiana. This time, though, only 20 hours separate James and the Heat from tipoff against the team with the NBA's best record, the Portland Trail Blazers. Will James play? "See how it feels tomorrow," James said.

Are You A Soprano Now, Bro?

He's a tough young man, he will be back soon. These aren't the type of injuries to linger. Heat still are the favorites

I don't buy what he's saying-
there always is an excuse after they lose, his groin, his ankle, blah, blah, blah, he ends up playing either the next game or the following one.
Until I see an MRI saying he has a torn groin- I ain't 'concerned'

If it was torn he'd be in big trouble. A sore groin and a rolled ankle aren't anything threatening but will affect him for afew days

yup-
its just my inner 'hate' of him coming out
any time he has a minor injury he's always pouting/pissed -
like its not ever supposed to happen to him....
when every player gets hurt here and there.

You couldn't be more wrong.

A groin strain? REALLY?

Without a couple weeks of rest, this will be a problem right through the end of the season. If he does continue to play through it (and he will be limited), he'll be almost the entire summer recovering.

Bynum suspended indefintely by the team for conduct. Wow, I'm absolutely shocked. Now who was the one who said this would happen.......

If he plays in the next 5 games than he is really faking it and just trying to get more attention. ANytime you have some kind of groin problem, you don't mess w/ it. You rest it as long as possible until it's stronger and don't feel no pain...

So you're basically saying that a couple weeks will do the job and LBJ can be back in full force?

If that's the case, I'll agree with the Commander and keep the Heat as favorites!

Wow....that's messed up.

Is this really how your mother raised you, or did you get this way all by yourself?

Relax dude...

LBJ is rarely injured.

Kudos to the Heat for winning a tough game in Portland without the man.

Kudos to Bosh as well....the man gets ZERO respect and he owned the Blazers....

Typical moron for wishing that on another player...

Wish that a team can beat them, but to wish injury on someone is just screaming KARMA coming back to you in massive doses...ohh...it probably already does to your moronic broke ****...
