A taker for Bynum in Miami

07:22 AM ET 12.30 | In the event the Cavaliers released Andrew Bynum, would the Heat go after the 7-footer? First, let's not get too greedy, with too much of a big-men rehabilitation project. Beyond that, it certainly would raise questions about the Heat's commitment to [Greg Oden] if they were also to bring in Bynum. While it certainly is within the realm, as speculated, that Bynum would want to play for the Heat if released (who wouldn't?), and while the Heat are known for taken chances on reclamation projects, you have to wonder about the elements that made things sour in Cleveland. While the spirit in the Heat locker room is robust, I'm just not sure that, amid the reclamation of Michael Beasley and Oden, you want to take on another project. Of course, doubt Pat Riley and his home for wayward big men at your own risk.

Why would the Heat risk another headcase on their team?

December 30, 2013  08:28 AM ET

Lol....first of all, they have nothing to trade Cleveland.
Unless they want to move Odom for bynum.......hahahahahahahahahaaa
But Odom makes a lot less and even that isn't possible.

Oden and Bynum on the same team .... hahahahahahahahahaha. That would be the biggest busts in history side by side.

The Heat could also get Odom just in case.

Because they can manage him and they need a big 7 footer. Bynum is already playing while oden is still unknown.

Never underestimate the rehabilitative powers of a championship team..... Being on a winner has a way of keeping knuckleheads in check!

No thanks. We're doing just fine.

Bynum is too much of a head case. Miami's only challenge in the East is Indy, so the only reason to use him would be regular season games against the Pacers and then the WC champ in the Finals. Huge risk, almost zero need for the guy.

Weird fact (for me) my birthday is also today and I will be at the Heat Nuggets game tonight. On the down side, Denver has been playing like shiz lately.
