Puig simply ignoring the Dodgers

07:26 AM ET 12.30 | A speeding car has again reminded the Los Angeles Dodgers of a most frustrating truth. The richest team in baseball cannot buy the safety, security or even the simple undivided attention of its most popular player. Yasiel Puig continues to careen toward calamity and there doesn't seem to be anything anybody can, or will, do about it. ... "He plays hard, he eats hard, he drives hard, he does everything hard," said Tim Bravo, a high school teacher who was employed by the Dodgers last summer to serve as Puig's full-time companion and mentor. In response, the Dodgers simply swallow hard, if only because they're not sure what else they can do. They lecture him, but he doesn't listen. They benched him once, but he came off that bench to hit a tiebreaking homer. They can't trade him, he's their most exciting player.

'The Dodgers simply swallow hard'
Mr. Los Angeles Times, I know which LA team you cheer for.
And I approve.

The Yanks can't keep Vernon Wells under control?

I gotta give the guy a little break, I've caught myself doing 105 on the Pike rushing to Fenway for the home opener and my car probably doesn't move like Puig's Mercedes. You get an average highway speed of 90 or so going and 105-110 just doesn't seem that fast.
If he does everything hard, does his girlfriend walk like a cowboy?

They need to get Steve Garvey to teach him how to have a spotless persona while secretly spending him time on the dirty side of the curb.

That my friend is some fantastic writing. It paints a picture as vivid as Bob Ross did back in the day on TV.

They signed him to a 7 year $42 million contract, no way should they trade him. Even if he only plays a few years on that contract before an untimely passing, they will have already made enough $$$ off of him. Besides his warts are so well known, no team is going to offer fair value in a trade.
