07:31 AM ET 12.30 | On Monday, two power programs will meet in San Antonio. Of all the unknowns surrounding the Alamo Bowl -- who replaces Mack Brown at Texas, who replaces Nick Aliotti at Oregon, the health of the Longhorns and the defensive abilities of the Ducks -- the players say this much is known: Motivation will not be an issue. "The way I feel, just the type of man Coach Brown is, he deserves to go out on top," Longhorns defensive back Quandre Diggs said of the legendary coach. ... Oregon receiver Bralon Addison said there are similar feelings within the Ducks for Aliotti, the defensive coordinator who announced his retirement Friday after a 38-year career, 21 at Oregon, and 17 as defensive coordinator. "A lot of guys took that hard and were emotional about it," Addison said.

I think Mack retires.

Oregon senior class also, as I read somewhere, has the chance to be the winningest class ever with 48 wins if they best the Shorthorns.

So Quack players rather the Alamo Bown than the Rose... wow

Easier opponent....like OOC scheduling.

Mack deserves Cleveland.

Hope this true. Given the complete melt down by the Loserines, and the poor showing by Minnie my confidence is down a little today. I thought both of those games would be in the B1G win column.

Minny was the disappointment. Meatchicken was not going to win that game without Gardner under center and I had K St in all my picks. Minny had two/three chances to win and did not get it done.

Sparty, side bar here, do you think Hoke is on the hot seat? How many wins does he need next yr to keep his job?

From reading the local fan base, I'd say he needs at least nine wins to quiet the restless natives. And none of them better be close calls like Akron and UConn. I have no idea what Brandon (AD) is thinking. He penned a lengthy piece of support for Hoke and Mattison earlier this year. He did not mention the OC, Borges in his letter. My guess, and it's only a guess, is that Hoke does not enter 2014 on the hot seat as far as Brandon is concerned.

Twelve wins per year is pretty good football.

I think 48 wins is all that UTK had in the entire last decade.

That's a decade's worth for UTk.

Alabama's 2012 class had 49 wins, I believe.

2009 - 14-0
2010 - 10-3
2011 - 12-1
2012 - 13-1

= 49 wins.

So did I. I picked 'em both.
