05:28 PM ET 12.30 | The playoff field is now set and the fine folks in Las Vegas have given us the updated betting odds. As has been the case all season long, the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks have been alternating as favorites and entering the Wild Card weekend they are officially listed as co-favorites to raise the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. Outside of Denver and Seattle, the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots check in at three and four respectively, with the Carolina Panthers rounding out the top five. Out of all of the teams who are in the playoff field, the San Diego Chargers are viewed as the team with the longest shot to win.

Pete Carroll isn't exactly Vince Lombardi when it comes to playoff football.

Last season he tried to freeze Atlanta's kicker and it ended up costing Seattle the game.

Thanks again, Pete.

I find it interesting how quick the hierarchy of the NFC and AFC alternate so often.
Few years ago the AFC was often represented by high-powered defnese with 1-2 high powered offenses and vice versa for the NFC (4 high powered offenses, 1-2 good defenses).
Now we have the opposite almost with NFC teams showcasing legitimat defenses and AFC teams with legitimat offenses.
