07:33 AM ET 01.01 | Free-agent slugger Nelson Cruz may have made his Major League Baseball debut with the Brewers, but he had spent nearly his entire career in Texas. [Cruz] was in Colorado on a ski vacation, his first time hitting the slopes, when his phone rang with the news that he won't be returning to the Texas Rangers. Talk about ruining a good time. "Kind of," Cruz said Monday night from his home in the Dominican Republic. Jon Daniels was on the other end of the line Dec. 21, informing Cruz that the Rangers would sign Shin-Soo Choo and wouldn't have the funds remaining that Cruz is seeking this off-season. He's still looking for a home in 2014, and says there are four teams that are showing interest in providing him one. But leaving the Rangers won't be easy. "I'm OK. I understand," Cruz said.

Nelson you need to reach out to those three or four teams and sign with one of them before spring training comes around, or maybe you are just dreaming about that many teams or out there and will pay you the big money you and your agent are looking for.

Well, after spending the winter in the Dominican Republic he should come back this spring bigger and better than ever. They all do that spend time there.

I think there are teams that are interested in signing Cruz, but only on their terms, not on his or his agents.

Cruz also says that every hot girl he meets wants him, he can bench press 1200 lbs, and his pee is actually fine wine.

He's 34 years and turned down the one-year qualifying offer of $16 mil from the Rangers. I wish him the best but he may regret that particular decision.

If the dude could catch a routine fly ball without making it look like he's auditioning for the "play of the day" on sports center....he would probably be signed by now. The guy can't even catch a cold.
