07:38 AM ET 01.01 | Might Louisville head coach Charlie Strong be willing to consider a move to Austin? The Texas Longhorns have inquired about [Strong], sources told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday. Strong has been considered a possible candidate for the vacant Longhorns head coaching position since former coach Mack Brown's ousting. Sources also told Yahoo Sports that the Cardinals will be proactive in trying to keep Strong if he is offered the Texas job. Louisville signed Strong to an eight-year contract extension in early 2013 after the coach was approached about the then-vacant job at Tennessee. That extension bumped his annual base salary up to $3.7 million. While Texas has inquired about Strong, formal permission to interview him was neither requested nor granted, sources said.

Well, if UT actually DID have any interest in Kevin Sumlin, I'm pretty sure they don't NOW!

One more thing on TAMU...

I can admit when I have been wrong, and, please hear this loud and clear, I WAS WRONG ABOUT JOHNNY FOOTBALL! The kid is a gamer, and willed his team to a win over Duke. Well done kid. Well done.

He's a stud and I hate everything aggie but that kid has giant cajones no doubt. I was more impressed with him when he would get knocked on his butt he'd not only jump right back up but reach out and help up the guy on the other team who nailed him. With his loss plus Evans and a couple of Olinemen next season will be interesting to watch for them. IMO without him they lose 2-3 more games this year.

Does Texas actually want the face of their football program to be Strong? Think about it?

You know, I think you are right. Charlie Strong has far too much class to be the face of Texas' program. Now be a good little boy and get back under your rock.
