07:36 AM ET 01.01 | When asked last week, Randy Gregory ended any speculation when he said he would return to Nebraska next season and not jump to the NFL. Gregory, the gifted but slightly undersized defensive end, was emphatic that he would be back in school. Nebraska junior running back Ameer Abdullah was asked Tuesday if he could say the same. "I'm just focused on the bowl game," he said of the Gator Bowl showdown Wednesday against Georgia. In other words, Abdullah had a chance to squelch the NFL speculation. I teed it up for him. And he didn't squelch it. It seems a lot of folks take for granted that Abdullah will be back at Nebraska next season. I'm more cautious. Abdullah insisted the NFL question hasn't been a distraction during bowl preparations. I believe him, because he's very mature, focused and determined.

QUOTE(#4):
