07:41 AM ET 01.01 | Soon, we'll all know. Within the next week, Jonathan Toews will be named to the Canadian Olympic team, a fait accompli for a player who is among the world's best at, well, just about everything. During his six-plus NHL seasons, the Blackhawks captain has maintained a level of consistency at both ends of the ice that is nearly unparalleled in the sport. "Toews is the type of player that you know you're fortunate when you have him on the ice and you have him as one of your players and leaders and captain," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "He's got everything you want in a player, (and) he does everything you'd hope on a regular basis. His consistency makes him even better and valuable in ... the predictability and what to expect is there. We really appreciate what we have there."

Obvious choice. May not be the leader in points but he's the leader in everything else.

Only if the criteria is amount of bowties owned. I don't think he even makes the squad anyway.

Joesy, I too think that they should dress seven defencemen - but your's are just barely half right. If the Yzzz-man picks too many Sharks, or Blues, even sixth is gonna be a struggle.
