07:10 AM ET 01.02 | For Cleveland, the clock is ticking. If [the Cavaliers] want to wash their hands of center Andrew Bynum sooner rather than later, they have less than a week to make a cost-saving decision. Just $6 million of Bynum's $12.2 million salary is guaranteed this season, but the deal becomes fully guaranteed if he is not waived by Jan. 7. While the Cavaliers signed Bynum to a friendly, mostly low-risk deal, they face a predicament. ... USA TODAY Sports reported the Los Angeles Clippers are one team that would have interest in Bynum. The Miami Heat have been mentioned as a potential suitor, and Heat President Pat Riley often has his eyes on available big men. However, the Heat don't have significant interest in Bynum, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports.

Wow. That's got to sting if you are Bynum. The team that pulled Greg Oden out of medical mothballs and pried Eddy Curry away from the buffet has no interest in you. That's a pretty point in your career.

They have no interest in trading for him but they will be very interested once he gets waived.

the heat can't TRADE for bynum
but they can pick him up if/when waived

Desperately Seeking Team, Bro?

Why would they want this head case anyway? They are already good enough to win again.

Yes, exactly. Why take the huge risk of trashing the Heat's chemistry? Bynum has too many problems.

IF he cant get the ball from Kyrie he definitely isn't getting it from LeBron and Co.

Because the Heat need a big guy off the bench and if they could get Bynum at the minimum they would have to consider it.

don't blame them

Yes it is...

But, the guy has turd for brains.

Plus, I think the Heat have some "inside info" on Oden that we do not.

It would not shock me to see him suit up and get into regular minutes come the 2nd half of the season...
