07:21 AM ET 01.02 | Baylor coach Art Briles lost on Wednesday night, but his week may just be getting started. [Briles] has not been interviewed by Texas athletic director Steve Patterson for the Longhorns head coaching vacancy, but a source very close to Briles said he would be willing to visit after Wednesday night's Fiesta Bowl. ... According to a report in the Louisville Courier-Journal, Patterson telephoned Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich seeking permission to talk to [Charlie Strong], but the two did not make contact with each other. The Baylor source said that Briles has no plans to remain in Arizona and is scheduled to return to Waco. ... Two sources, including one close to Briles, has told the Statesman that Briles would accept the Texas job if offered.

Opportune time for Bortles to declare himself for the NFL draft.

Those losers cost me 35 points in my confidence pool. I tell you I cannot handicap the Big 12 in bowl games. That league just does not know what defense is.

One more chance for redemption....Zero U can keep the year-of-the-underdog theme going with a win for the Big 12 against Gump

Okie Lite still has Mizzou...but that's just a quasi old Big 8 game.

Not sure how either one will show up. Both disappointed that they lost their last games and chances to play in the so called "big bowls"...especially Mizzou.

I'm old fashioned and still think the Cotton is pretty big though. Not sure the modern era agrees with me.
