10:02 AM ET 01.05 | Andrew Cogliano already never leaves the Ducks' lineup, and the speedy forward's new contract extension will keep him in Anaheim for four more years. Cogliano agreed to a $12 million extension through the 2017-18 season with the Ducks on Saturday. Cogliano is on pace for the best season of his NHL career with 13 goals, 12 assists and a plus-16 rating in 43 games, but the durable playmaker had no interest in testing the free agent market this summer at the risk of disrupting a good situation in Anaheim.

Good team, warm weather and $3 million a year. Why would you want to leave?

Are you sure 3M is enough because the NBA players complain they have to miss a meal on that pay.

That's a good question for Bobby Ryan.

Cherry's right - good player. And Brucie's alot better Coach than alot of peoplle have been giving him credit for.

If I was as short as Cogliano, I'd quickly agree to an extension too.

Seems like the entire NHL is populated by Edmonton's botched experiments. They gave up too soon on too many good players yet keep holding on to the wrong kind of guys like Alice Hemsky.

I keep trying to trade Humpsky for them. That might even have started two GMs ago.
