Kaepernick already bent on revenge

07:29 AM ET 01.06 | Back in Week 10, the Panthers edged out a 10-9 win in San Francisco in a win that cemented Carolina as one of 2013's top teams. Two months later, the 49ers get another crack at them. "We owe them," quarterback Colin Kaepernick said after Sunday's wild-card win in Green Bay. This is not the same 49ers team that barely lost back in November. They have their No. 1 wide receiver Michael Crabtree healthy and are playing at a very high level. Tight end Vernon Davis suffered a concussion during the first game; he's scored six touchdowns in as many playoff games. Linebacker Aldon Smith has returned to the squad and is terrorizing passers again. Perhaps the biggest difference: Kaepernick and the 49ers' passing attack is effective again.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words, Bro.

Crabtree and Davis should make a huge impact.

Packers should get rid of Rodgers. He's 1-4 in his career against San Francisco. /s

That's fine. This Carolina defense isn't as porous as the Pack. It's gonna be a dog fight.

Kaepernick looked more comfortable in the cold than the players in the green and gold.

Lets not forget Boldin or Patton. You can't ask for a better sure handed duo of WR's than Boldin and Crabtree. They aren't the fastest WR's but they know how to get open and make catches. The Green Bay game was a huge confidence builder for Crabtree.

Born in Milwaukee. Cold is in his blood.

Played college in Reno (not exactly Vegas hot), played in Boise a bunch, including the Humanitarian Bowl.

Really? There's a "Humanitarian Bowl?"

Are they humanitarian enough to let people in for free and give them free food and beer?

Sounds like the Communist Bowl to me.

This will hands down be the best game next weekend. It will be a slugfest...

January 6, 2014  09:12 AM ET

I've been thinking the last few years that Green Bay is really built more like a dome team. Their strength is a passing attack that can put up a lot of points, which they need to overcome their porous defense.

In the NFL playoffs the word REVENGE does not exist. If you lose your are done, and if you win there is a game next week.

There's nothing humanitarian about communism, unless one believes Dennis Rodman.

I'm no English major, but wouldn't winning and getting a chance at the NFC Championship while ending the season for a team that beat you earlier in the year constitute "revenge"?

QUOTE(#16):

You do know they played during the season and the score was 10-9, right?

I believe that was in the body of story so yeah I figure he knows that, plus the previous kind of indicates that it was a "slugfest"
