07:49 AM ET 01.06 | A new year hasn't brought relief to L.A. How odd that the most expensive team in the majors also faces more unresolved issues than any other. But as we begin 2014, such is the state of the Los Angeles Dodgers. It would be premature to call the Dodgers a powder keg, seeing as how the team won 92 games and reached the National League Championship Series while confronting many of the same problems. Still, the potential for distraction is considerable. ... Don Mattingly. His lame-duck status was a major talking point last season, and guess what? As of this moment, he's a lame duck again. ... Clayton Kershaw. Another deal that should have done by now. ... Hanley Ramirez. Extension candidate No. 3. ... Yasiel Puig. His recent arrest in Florida for driving 110 mph in a 70-mph zone was his second for reckless driving.

Not to mention they have no idea how healed Kemp will be when March rolls around.

Or how many of their players will be in prison. They're all savages.

West Coast version of the Yankees.

A version that has not won a World Series in a quarter of a Century or even been in one.

I know, just taking a shot at the Dodgers. Always appropriate.

The Dodgers are starting to sound like the A's back in the seventies, but with only one difference the A's won with all of their problems and the Dodgers have not won it all yet with their issues.

Kemp turned for the worse, this player deside to become a injury-prone player and that's that!
Ramirez shouldn'g get any contract from the dodgers unless is for far less than he has in his past contract!
the dodgers manager needs to go,the organization can't expect to fully compete with this manager and know why? the team will finish just as they finish in the last season, without a worldseries ring!
what to do about Puig?the team needs to keep working with him until otherwise, either the team waits for Puig to become more matured or trade him before he blow away his own life in the freeway,
about Kershaw contract?the team will sign him not matter what is the $$$the dodgers will give him a long term contract without any hesitation just wait watch and see!!
