07:53 AM ET 01.06 | After losing in OT over the weekend, Montreal's P.K. Subban was left pondering whether a game-changing call against him late in the third period was motivated by an official's personal feelings toward him. [Said Subban]: "It just didn't really make sense to me. Other than that it seems like it's personal to me. It has nothing to do with the game. Based on the standard of penalties, I don't see a penalty there at all." ... Subban was called for a hooking penalty with 18.4 seconds left in regulation. Clarke MacArthur scored the overtime game-winner less than a minute into overtime. Asked what he meant by it being "personal," Subban was coy. "If it doesn't make sense on the ice, if it doesn't make sense as a penalty, then what else is it?"

Playing the race card?

What else could it be ? How about a plain old mistake PK ? You know , like when your team gets scored on because you are up ice hanging out by the other teams crease.

Seems that way.

There is a saying:
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

It seems pretty appropriate here.

Are you suggesting he's Kane-ing the refs? (Evander, not Patrick).

Most of us didn't see it because there is absolutely no reason to watch Montreal play unless they are playing our local team.Too many good hockey teams on the telly to waste time on those faeries.

As you wish.

QUOTE(#17):

And even if it was, obviously whining about the refs is going to prevent bad calls in the future! Not like referees don't mind their integrity questioned in the media...

Questions asked and answered. Happens all the time.

It just depends on what the press prints from the question session.

It's not like he went out and stood on a soap box complaining.

PK should learn to take the high road. Calling out the refs in the press, makes you look bad.
