07:56 AM ET 01.06 | When Eddie Lack went down in a heap on Sunday, television cameras trained their focus on the 43-year-old former minor-leaguer, Rob Laurie, who was signed to a one-day professional tryout contract earlier in the day. Meanwhile, it was a scheduled start for Lack, but a second injury to [Roberto Luongo] this season has again placed the smiling Swede in the spotlight and perhaps put Luongo's roster spot with Team Canada for the 2014 Winter Olympics in some doubt if a further diagnosis reveals a long-term ailment. The Sochi roster is to be revealed Tuesday and Luongo was to be examined again Monday in Vancouver. "I guess we just have to see what happens and if I'm back in the net Tuesday," Lack said of facing the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Such regrettable timing.

If Lu's out, who takes the third spot now assuming the original 3 were Lu, Carey and Buttgoal? Out of Harding, Bernier, Crawford and Fleury....hell there might be a Leaf on this team after all.

I thought Bernier would be a reasonable choice for the #3 goalie.

Until last Saturday, that is.

Leave MAF out of this. He wasn't the same after he came back from the last Olympics.

Never mind Booby, did anybody see Tom Sestito kick Zack Kassian in the face last night? Nasty!

Dave Bolland approves.

He just got him with the boot not the blade.

Brown is on a dirt mission - hope it ends badly for him. Lu-pong-o wasn't gonna be picked anyway, and this is the soft-landing approach. It's going to be Harding - the numbers don't lie this time, plus 'the story' of course. The swan song can't be all that far away, sadly - and this really could be his last chance.
