01:10 PM ET 01.06 | The San Francisco 49ers were able to sneak past the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs, and now their attention has immediately been shifted to their next opponent - the Carolina Panthers. Back in Week 10, the Panthers and 49ers met in a low-scoring affair with the Panthers winning 10-9. In the game, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had one of his worst performances of the year going 11-of-22 for 91 yards and an interception, but now he is ready for redemption and is looking forward to his rematch with the Panthers defense.

And rightly so.

He'll enter the game with a full clip.

I think he'll redeem himself just fine.

Two evenly matched teams. I have to give the edge to the Niners with their playoff experience.

Hopefully Carolina is without Steve Smith, that should help out.

The Niners will need a lucky rabbits foot.

Really? They barely beat an injury riddled Packers team.

And SD barely beat the Chiefs B team and then went on to stomp Cincinnati at home in bad weather. What's your point?

They still won...on the road...in adverse weather conditions.

Even with Smith there the Panthers will struggle. Smith is really banged up.

and Carolina barely beat them by one point with an injury riddled team.

Sadly with the full core of receivers healthy now the 49ers will probably win. You can bet that I will be rooting for the Panthers though and that as usual in the NFL whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game.
