07:28 AM ET 01.07 | When it comes to adding players, Los Angeles isn't shy about considering those with more than a few miles on the odometer. [The Clippers] are looking hard at well-known veteran free agents Sasha Vujacic and Hedo Turkoglu as they try to fill the playmaking void created by Chris Paul's shoulder injury, according to sources close to the process. Sources told ESPN.com that the Clippers could make a new 10-day signing as early as Tuesday, with Vujacic and Turkoglu currently at the forefront of L.A.'s thinking. Paul is expected to miss up to six weeks after suffering a separated shoulder Friday night in Dallas. The Clippers are still without starting shooting guard J.J. Redick, who is making progress in his recovery from hand and wrist injuries but is believed to be out for at least another week.

Getting Desperate, Bros?

What bar will they find Turk in?

January 7, 2014  08:31 AM ET

Find someone from the D league with a little passion and energy. Anyone would be better than the incredible disappearing Turk!

Wow the clips are scraping the bottom of the barrel ......

Agreed! No need bringing back old players to only sit on the bench and then maybe complaining a lot more for not having PT.

Hedo was a wreck, this last year especially. But he could find some minutes if he doesn't mind being a 2nd teamer.

January 7, 2014  10:51 AM ET

Is there anyone that the Clippers aren't interested in?

January 7, 2014  10:54 AM ET

Turkeyglue is finished. He hasn't even practiced with a team this year. He was shot even when he was still staying in shape. He's got to be really bad now.

Didn't Hedo play for the Spurs?

Yeah, 2003-04. In fact it may be that the Spurs pick him up again They need a backup 3, and for the NBA min, he may be worth a chance.

Spurs have Josh Howard rehabbing at their D-League affiliate. If that doesn't work out, Hedo may get the call.

He played pretty good w/ the Spurs. They just couldn't afford him because he wanted more money...

Kobe?

Right. He was going into his "big salad" years, so the Spurs passed on him. It wasn't a perfect match at the time, but Spurs have changed their offense, so he may fit better.

That Turk is long gone my friend. He doesn't have it any more.

The 10+mil/yr starter is definitely no longer. But the nba min 2nd team guy could be of value.

If he did a good job getting himself in game shape this last 4 months, he could latch on to some teams. If not, probably all will pass on him.

I just remember watching him struggling in Orlando and he just was practically useless. When he left for Toronto and then Phoenix he seemed to have lost his confidence and was never the same player again after that. If anyone could bring out his best it would be Pop but I would personally rather see the Spurs use a roster spot on a guy who really wants to play ball again.

Wino Pop can get him to play good again. Look at Diaw...

Pop is his only hope but I suspect Turk will end up buried deep on the bench never to be seen again until Happy Hour.
