Eriksson's return creates a problem for B's

07:42 AM ET 01.07 | For Loui Eriksson, green means no-go -- as that's the jersey color he's still wearing to signify he has not yet been cleared for contact. But with every day, every improvement, he gets a touch closer to returning to the lineup, and coach Claude Julien gets closer to having to make a decision. Eriksson took some rushes with the third line Monday at the Honda Center, a group that (as of now) includes Carl Soderberg, Ryan Spooner, and Matt Fraser. It's possible that will be the line that Eriksson will eventually rejoin. Or it could be his old line, alongside Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. As Julien said this week, "It's a legit question and we're going to have to look at the situation. I think everybody sees that [Reilly Smith] is playing well. So that kind of creates a situation there."

I think everybody sees that [Reilly Smith] is playing well.

Someone tell Claude that Reilly only leads the team in goal scoring.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, thought they'd be comparing Smith's numbers to Seguin's to see who made out on that deal. I actually thought Morrow was the best "extra" player. What a surprise. That said, he's just playing hard. He's in the right places all the time. He forechecks. He does everything right. He's the anti-Seguin. I wish the B's still had Seg's production, but I don't miss his half-arsed approach to D.

Congratulations to Florida State on winning the National Championship.

{Aren't you glad Gatorade was invented at the University of Florida and not Florida State? I'm not sure Seminole Fluid would be as popular. :o)}

Glad to see the kid is feeling better, but now he's giving his headaches to Claude.

Why? He needs to trade a forward, or maybe two, to shore up a sorely depleted defence anyway - It'll probably be soft Loui and one of a plethora of young guys or even a pick. Looking for a Weber, or a Myers, or a Brian Campbell is gonna mean parting with a lot. Clitsome, Franson, Carle not so much.

Weber would look good with a spoked B on his jersey, but I'm not interested in Myers. He's a puss.

Pete can always trade Loui Eriksson to the Dallas Stars. ;-)

I call BS on this post. I am sure OldTom didn't write this.

How do I know? I understood every word.
