Bucks trying to move Neal

07:36 AM ET 01.08 | Farewell, Gary Neal? The Milwaukee Bucks are actively looking to move [Neal], according to sources familiar with Milwaukee's thinking. Sources told ESPN.com that the Bucks will do everything they can to find a new home for Neal before the Feb. 20 trade deadline, conceding that last summer's signing of the former San Antonio sharpshooter hasn't worked out as planned. That realization was slammed home over the weekend when Neal and Bucks center Larry Sanders engaged in a heated locker-room argument in Phoenix. ... Some of the back-and-forth was heard by reporters, with Neal quoted as shouting at Sanders: "I earned my money. Why don't you try it?" It's merely the latest controversy to envelop Sanders since the Bucks' defensive anchor landed a four-year, $44 million contract extension coming into the season.

Nooooooooooooooo..........
Don't break up the bucks

Neal "earned" his money by playing along side three great players in SA....Other than that the guy is a bench guy....

But that coach in Mil is an idiot. Its obvious this team isnt going anywhere so why not start playing all the kids (middleton/sanders/henson/Ant/) and quit giving time to guys like Caron Butler and Luke Ridnour....

Sounds pretty bad, they seem to just be floating in space, not really going anywhere fast and that has to be frustrating.

Does The Buck Stop With You, Bro?

Neal is doing his job. They are frustrated with the losses, however something is always happening invloving Sanders. Neal is a shooter but not really a person you want to run your offense with. Sanders said some things last year and got into it with Jennings and Ellis, got into a fight or whatever off-court in the offseason.

its deeper than playing the kids.

why would they give sanders that contract in the first place when thy knew they'd be in the toilet for 3-4 more years?

I mentioned this on another thread. Apparently there is some "minimum" payroll that teams should be on per the CBA. In other words, the Bucks simply HAD to pay SOMEONE, and Sanders happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Usually one peaks in Popovich's system. So, if their output starts to decline while still in the system, you can imagine the downturn when one is on their own.

This is about Sanders, not Neal. Neal only makes $3mil, so the urgency to trade him doesn't make a lot of sense, unless it's a personnel issue.

They can let Neal go, but the problems with Sanders still remain.
