07:45 AM ET 01.08 | In the event hot coaching commodity James Franklin leaves Vanderbilt, it could mean some of the Commodores' 2014 commitments reopening their recruitment. Quarterback K.J. Carta-Samuels, the brother of outgoing Vanderbilt senior Austyn Carta-Samuels, and running back Mikale Wilbon said they might reconsider their decisions if Franklin leaves West End. "I've wanted to stay out of it and see what they'll do," K.J. Carta-Samuels said. "Vanderbilt would still be a place I could see myself ending up. But without Franklin, I'm not sure what that program is like." ... Said Wilbon: "I've been getting a lot of calls about that (from other schools). If he does leave, I don't know what I'm going to do. It would stun me because when I committed last spring, he was telling me he wanted to make it into a dynasty."

Maybe Franklin can imitate JoPa's Big Ten Network ad, "Come to Penn State!"

Commitment is nothing young recruit without your signature on the paper next month.

It appears the definition of commitment is no longer a SAT word. I do not think these young men understand what the word means. The old ham and eggs quote. The chicken is involved, but the pig is committed.

JoPa's Big Ten Network ad, "Come to Penn State!"

Ah, yes... Before Sandusky's sins became common knowledge, and PSU was perceived in a kinder light. The great sins of one compounded by the sins of a few others now darken a grand institution and besmirch the lives of so many innocent of any complicity. It is sad; sad only.

Nothing to worry about, Franklin stays. I really think he likes Vandy too much.
