07:48 AM ET 01.08 | For head coach Barry Trotz, his players' ultimate international hockey honor presents a bit of an issue. Expect a few extra days off and some rest for defensemen Shea Weber and Roman Josi when they return to Nashville after the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games. ... While it's a great honor for both players, going to the Olympics involves several challenges, primarily the extra games while their teammates have a three-week break. "They're not going to get that break. And so we really have to monitor them," [Trotz] said. "When they get back we'll probably just play them in games and say, 'forget the practices for a while here' or something like that. They're going to play the minutes, so I can't say, 'we'll reduce the minutes.' That's probably not correct."

Not sure why there is concern, its not like the Preds are making the playoffs.

When your team doesn't have a lot of star power and you're fighting for a playoff spot .... it is a concern. Plus, what will happen to the Preds should Weber gets hurt? It's happened before.

this is why the pros shouldn't play.
I'll give you another reason...not that anyone asked...you take a team of amateurs...let them play as a team, exhibitions against NHL teams, other countries...that';s how you win, and that makes it more fun
