02:46 PM ET 01.08 | The loss in the BCS National Championship game is still in the mind of Auburn Tigers running back Tre Mason and his emotions are running high. Because of that, Mason is still taking time before announcing his decision on whether or not to declare for the 2014 NFL Draft. Mason wants to make sure he makes the right decision and he will have until the Jan. 15 deadline to make his decision. Underclassmen running backs often enter the draft while their bodies are still fresh, so it wouldn't be a surprise if Mason decided to make the leap to the NFL.

Take the money. RB's have a short shelf life. Especially after seeing how many times this kid runs the ball, he needs to get the money while he can still walk.

Agreed on the short shelf life. I will never bad mouth a RB for leaving early. Go get paid while you can. Before you know it, someone else is there to replace you after you lose a step when you turn 27.

AND STAY AWAY FROM THOSE TRIFLING ****!

I so want this guy to get drafted by the 49ers (doubt he'd last that long but running backs aren't the premium picks they used to be) as I see him being the next Frank Gore.
