12:51 PM ET 01.09 | The media world almost broke on Wednesday with the news that Miami sports reporter and ESPN personality Dan Le Batard was the Baseball Hall of Fame voter that gave his vote to the website, Deadspin. Throughout the day, Le Batard, despite explaining his actions, took a ton of backlash from others in the business, including harsh criticism from his friends Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon on Pardon the Interruption. Thursday, Le Batard visited with another friend of his when he appeared on the Dan Patrick Show. Less than 24 hours after the news of him being the Deadspin Hall of Fame culprit, though, Le Batard showed a bit of remorse for the first time. Le Batard explained that he gave the vote away to more or less watch the media world burn, in a sense, as he's one of the many, many people that disagree with the BBWAA's voting tactics, which particularly came to light with Greg Maddux not being a unanimous selection this year.

QUOTE(#2):

Le ba Tard is a tard. But he's also right.

LeRetard? Yes, he has a very good point but his stunt offended the wrong people. You don't mess with the HOF, just ask Rafael Palmiero. The voting process is clearly flawed and subjecting (see Ken Gurnick) but giving away your vote for free this year could lead to other, more nefarious, voting stunts.

Although the selection process is perfect, to use the fact that Maddux was not a unanimous vote is a silly point. Who gives a rat's **** if he was unanimous or not. Dude got in, as he deserved. Who cares about unaninimity? It means nothing.
