Rodriguez-Jeter rift healing
This time Derek Jeter wasn't blindsided by the words spilling out of Alex Rodriguez's mouth. A year ago, Jeter didn't know Rodriguez was going to talk about their faded friendship when spring training opened. This time Jeter wasn't blindsided by the words spilling out of Alex Rodriguez's mouth. "He mentioned it to me when we were out at lunch the other day," Jeter said. "We were talking about different workout programs. I don't really think about it. The bottom line is to win." The news that Jeter and Rodriguez had lunch, believed to be at P.F. Chang's before Wednesday's first full-squad workout, surprised those who believe the relationship between the superstars is as cold as ice.

Are we going to have to see something like this every year that these two are on the same team? There are probably a lot of team mates that don't get along on a lot of teams, why should we care anymore about these two than any other pair of players that don't really get along? Oh yea, I forgot, T&R prints 90% of it columns from New York publications. That's probably why.

Its funny how more Red Sox fans care about this than Yankees fans do. Us Yankees fans don't care about the little things, but the media set the trap and the Red Sox nation took the bait...hook, line and sinker. You guys are suckers. I read these blogs and the Red Sox fans, at least the majority of them on here, are more concerned with the Yankees. If you want to be a Yankees fan, keep it to yourselves, we don't want tainted crap.

same could be said for the Patriots haters when a meaningless Patriots story is posted.
just the way it goes when people dislike the team.

Hey RedSoxBabe, I said it in the other blog. If you're going to talk sports, you're going to have to read about and watch news outside of Boston to have a halfway decent viewpoint. But what do you do, you refer to Friends. I don't mind disputing things and I have respect for everyone who wants to throw their opinion out there, but com'on already, come with something legit.

Pauliwood,
"same could be said for the Patriots haters when a meaningless Patriots story is posted."
Nothing recently about the Pats has been meaningless. They got humiliated and dominated by the NY Giants in the SuperBowl. They went undefeated throughout the season only to lose the one that really matters. They're under scrutiny for all the illegal videotaping they've done since their first SuperBowl win against the Rams. But you're right, its just the "haters" saying these things, they're not factual; therefore, meaningless.

Nothing recently about the Pats has been meaningless.
The story about Hobbs playing hurt and needing surgery was meaningless, as neither he, nor the team were using that as an excuse.
but you are right, the 200+ posts about that weren't about people jumping at the chance to put the team down.
Also, when the same story is posted numerous times and beat like a dead horse, with different spins on it, it really becomes meaningless.

Pauliwood,
That story about Hobbs was meaningless to you, and without a doubt, to many others, but it did mean something to a lot of people as well (obviously by the 200+ posts about it). You can't deem the story meaningless for everyone. I admit, it doesn't carry much weight, if any at all, but there are people who have a viewpoint and just wish to get it out there. Therefore, I stand corrected, the Hobbs story, listed recently, is meaningless. So I say now, majority of the recent stories about the Pats are not meaningless.

It works both ways. If you have a minute go to Boston.com and click on any Red Sox article there are as many comments from Yankees fans trying to get under the skin of Sox fans. I care what the Yankees are doing because they are my teams biggest rivals. Just like most Yankees fans keep an eye on the Sox. This you are obsessed with us is old. It is what happens in a rivalry.
