07:22 AM ET 01.10 | Even today, the Patriots remain infamous for their involvement in "Spygate," and the franchise likely suffers in popularity from the scandal. Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton seemed to make a not-so-veiled reference to the practice when he was asked Wednesday about his time on the New York Jets' staff from 2003-05. "I do know for a fact that it was always a 60-minute chess match," he said. "It was ever-changing looks and disguises and they always tend to find ways to figure out some of your signals." ... Still, Hamilton did pay Belichick a compliment, saying, "It's truly an honor to have an opportunity to field a team and compete against the likes of Coach Belichick who will go down as one of the greatest coaches in the history of the National Football League."

What would the press ever have done if the Watergate Hotel had been a Howard Johnsons?

Spy Johnsons? Bengazi Johnsons?

It reads like Pep realized he was straying into "bulletin-board material" territory at the last minute.

wow, must be a slow news day. As a colts fan that hates the pats (not to mention likes bringing up the spygate stuff bc it is funny) even I found this story a snoozer. Really doubt any pats players are going to be getting crazy hyped by reading this haha.

Players who get "crazy hyped" end up being called for late hits and personal fouls. The Dark Lord does not like that.

Funny that you mentioned Howard Johnsons, for it was at the Howard Johnsons across the street from the Watergate that the "brains" of the operation were holeed up running the operation.

4 Years Howard Johnson's. World Wide Headquarters were located in The Basement of The Braintree Mall in Massachusetts! It looked something like the offices of Get Smart The old TV Show! The Pats Probably use it now for Spy Training!!!
