Magic rejects offers for Arron Afflalo

09:11 AM ET 01.11 | Orlando continues to give the same stiff-arm to teams registering interest in shooting guard Arron Afflalo. The difference there, though, is that some rival clubs aren't convinced that the Magic's stance is as absolute as the Knicks' stance is with Tyson Chandler. Has Afflalo played well enough, in this breakout half-season, that the Magic will eventually be offered a first-round pick closer to the deadline that can pry Afflalo loose? The reality is that no one is giving up first-round picks these days -- such is the lure of the 2014 draft -- but 40 days is a long time.

I doubt they are in a rush to move him. I believe next year they will be trying to make a serious playoff push and he would be a nice piece to have.

Even if they draft a great 2 guard this summer he would be a good example for a rookie for a few months.

Come To LA, Bro.

I've liked Afflalo since he was with Denver. A solid proven player. I know 1st round picks are highly coveted but don't always produce all stars.

Yeah, I'd take the pick for him but I wouldn't give him away...

January 11, 2014  09:25 AM ET

he is a solid player with a VERY manageable contract
I'm sure there are tons of teams inquiring...
the magic should listen & if they get a nice offer-
they should move him

I'm surprised Fannation didn't put up the Lebron story that even ESPN is running. Lebron is crying that Mirza Teletovic flopped. I mean, he did flop but come on, Lebron calling out someone for flopping is like Homer Simpson lecturing someone about a drinking problem.

I'm just saying LBJ, as great a player as he is, is the last person on earth who should ever talk about another playing flopping. He is guilty of some of the all time flops himself so he should be wary of throwing stones while in his glass mansion

lol @ Glass Mansion. Hey Commander how do you think your Panthers will do against the 49'ers?

That's like Homer Simpson, Duffman, Peter griffin, the budweiser clydesdale, and Dean Martin sitting someone down for an intervention about drinking. Lebron really doesn't need to call out other players for flopping until he himself can practice what he preaches. Still, no need to worry Heat fans they are champions and they are pacing themselves for the playoffs. No need to waste too much energy on pointless regular season matchups

oh, I am agreeing 100% with you
I just read that this was only the FOURTH time in his 10 year career that he fouled out ???? ???
I mean, lol, come on....you want to talk about getting away with murder-
that is the only stat you need to see how he is treated by the refs and league

I think we are going to win because I believe we are the better team, but I do respect the 49ers quite a bit. I've said all year the only 2 teams i can envision going to SEA and beating them in JAN are the 49ers and the Panthers. The 49ers and Panthers play a similiar style of football so it could very well come down to one mistake/play, and in those games it's tough to make accurate predictions, but i'm going to go with Panthers over 49ers 27-17

truthfully, the biggest issue i have JGB is that LBJ and other stars are allowed to verbally assault these refs. I mean, LBJ practically yelled at that ref like he ran over his dog after those calls and... not a single Tech was called. The NBA needs to quit having two sets of rules, one for superstars and one for the regular players. If Nick Van Exel or someone had verbally assaulted the ref like that, they'd never be allowed to lace up again.
