09:58 AM ET 01.11 | Bobby Ryan has received some closure on his Olympic snub. Nashville Predators general manager David Poile, who also happens to be general manager of the U.S. Olympic team, met with Ryan to apologize for the public criticism the Ottawa Senators star right winger was forced to endure last week. Ryan was labelled as lacking passion and his intensity was questioned by Calgary Flames president of hockey operations Brian Burke during the management meetings leading up to the selection of the team. The comments were made public by reporters who sat in on the meetings.

If I was Bobby I'd tell them to cram it up their Burke.

Oddly enough they won't let me post that on TSN. :-)

I'd rather have the time off anyway.

I second the motion. They deserve all the egg on their faces they can get.

I agree completely.....the only good thing is most people who have any hockey sense at all know Burke is an idiot an anything he says can be taken as equal to the New York Post

I imagine many guys think that also. It's not like they get paid wads of cash to go.

But they get the "opportunity" to rub shoulders with your boy. Gotta be worth something.

That and the chance to witness a terrorist attack. Wow, now wonder people are upset that they haven't been picked.

You owe HC an apology. You hurt his feelings. He likes him!

Yet, no-one has deleted Big-Boy Burke, recently.

Ok but.....when this happens insurance kicks in and ya get a whole new one!

I haven't liked the insurance policy here for awhile.

I am a disheartened fan at the moment. It's been sad to see this kinda play in front of two guys who have played well to give confidence and then get hung out like a dripping......

I've had enough of this circus. There is no reason for us to be losing so much, and every night a new lineup? Why was Holland sent down? What does Gleason really bring to the table that Phaneuf can't already mess up? Or why didnt they sign Kadri to a 20 year 200 mil contact?

Man!

We won tonight.....so that's good for the moment! Too bad they won't keep doing that!!!

I also believe that our guys gotta start playing and be given time to gel, or there is no end in sight.....
