01:39 PM ET 01.11 | The Minnesota Vikings are expected to address their quarterback situation this offseason and it is likely that one of the three signal-callers currently on the roster will be released. Whether it be Christian Ponder, Josh Freeman or Matt Cassel, someone is expected to get the boot and it looks like Ponder could be getting the short straw. In a recent report, it was passed along that the Vikings are not investing any more time in Ponder and that he most likely has exhausted his final opportunity with the team.

Bummer for Freeman. I think he got a bum deal in Tampa.

No more Pondering. Makes sense. They'd better draft, though.

Ponder is young and I believe he still possess a great amount of talent, but his injury plagued roller-coaster ride as a Viking the past three seasons never seemed to be riding forward. Ponder was stuck in neutral - some moments in reverse - while trying to fight off two one-hit-wonder quarterbacks. Freeman needs an off-season with Minn. before we can fully judge how good or bad of a quarterback he is. Although Cassel has the shorter leash and least longevity, he showed the most promise when he started; prime example: against the Eagles week 15. I think Cassel will land the starting job next season, unless the coaching staff "truly" believes in Freeman (they don't), or they take their chances on the draft.

Who knows. She may secretly want to be married to an insurance salesman.

Christian Ponder, Josh Freeman or Matt Cassel. Pick your poison son. Shall it be hanging, the firing squad or the sword?

Note: Congrats on that game last night by your team. Honestly, it was a joy to watch a team run the ball down another teams throat and dare them to do something about it. I enjoy watching a pulling guard get to the second level and just pancake some guy a lot more than some cutesy QB with no hands on him throw a ball to some guy that has nobody near him.

Well done.

If you are the Vikings keep Cassel and dump the other two, either go defense in the first round and get a QB in middle rounds to learn from Cassel, or go after one of the so call can't miss QB's in the first round.
