10:10 AM ET 01.12 | The Cleveland Browns have not given up hope on landing Denver offensive coordinator Adam Gase as their next head coach, according to league sources, and, as the first person they wanted to interview for the job, are hopeful they eventually get the chance to do so. Furthermore, from the college ranks, Browns officials remain very intrigued by Auburn's Gus Malzahn, source said, and have not given up on landing him as well.

Seriously, what top candidate is going to want to visit this coaching graveyard? This team is now the worst-run outfit in pro sports. Dysfunction, bad drafting, bad trades, wacky owner??? other than that??? it's a great place to play and coach football.

Sweater vests are seriously un-cool!

If yer lookin' for a 1 or 2 year gig with an NFL franchise, the Browns are IT!!

I dare you to say that to Mike Ditka.

Malzahn has come a long way in a short time. Best to stay at Auburn a while longer before trying the NFL.

I'm not sure why Gase is such a hot item as a head coach. How hard is it to be the OC for Peyton Manning?

January 12, 2014  11:09 AM ET

If I'm Malzahn... I'm squashing this rumor ASAP!

GO BROWNS

Cause everyone knows he is bored with nothing to do but wait around to take the blame.

Malzahn? Tressel? The Browns apparently place sweater vests high in their requirements for an HC.

Then Mike Ditka would be a good candidate...

There's a difference between running an NFL team and coaching a college team; and, there's a difference in flashing greatness one season, and sustaining it.Malzahn may be great, but I would surely be skeptical.

Seems like more of the same is on its way to Cleveland.

I never met a "Gus" who wasn't a good guy.
