10:30 AM ET 01.12 | The Clippers brought in forward Hedo Turkoglu for a meeting and a workout Thursday. They liked what they saw but don't plan on signing him anytime soon. The Clippers would have to cut a player to make room for any new additions. "He made shots from everywhere," Doc Rivers said of Turkoglu. "He looked good. It was a good workout, but we're not doing anything anytime soon, but he did look good." Rivers didn't rule out pursuing center Andrew Bynum, who was released by the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday and is expected to sign with a team soon.

They played it safe and just kept the mini-bar in his room well stocked.

I don't think doc really understands this gm role very well.

why bring him in if you have no intention of signing him?
and why announce he looks good if they do like him?

Doc Rivers is over-rated. I don't like the way he bailed on the Celtics and went to a pretender contender like the Clippers. Even VDN lead LA to a banner. I wonder if Rivers can do the same?

I won't say over-rated, cause he does have them at #4 in the west
but I don't like him any more cause of how he worked himself out of boston for greener pastures.

I don't know River's skill as a GM.

BUT sometimes teams do that type of hyping up a certain player's workout to mislead some other teams on signing. I don't know if such politics is in play, but it is possible.

Looking at all the bone headed moves GMs have been making, I don't think it's a stretch at all.

It's strategery my friend ;)
