07:33 AM ET 01.13 | Now that Arizona has run its record to 17-0, courtesy wins at UCLA and USC on Thursday and Sunday, respectively, it's fair to ask whether this is the best team in Wildcats history. In fact, Mark Titus, writing for Grantland.com, recently posed that question and said at the time that he would probably rate this year's team fifth, based on the small sample size available early in the season. Of course, if the top-ranked Wildcats go on to the Final Four, win the program's second NCAA championship and send a bunch of guys into the NBA, well, the argument will really get interesting. ... [Freshman] Aaron Gordon is an NBA star in waiting (and it won't be a long wait). About the only knock on the Wildcats is a lack of depth. Well, we need to let the season play out before declaring the 2013-14 team's place in UA history.

Let's hold off on this question until after the final game. Unless the Wildcats win that game, it will still be the 1997 team.

Well, you should certainly know fizzle when you see it.
