07:37 AM ET 01.13 | For the third consecutive game, New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur played second fiddle, again backing up Cory Schneider in a 3-2 shootout loss. Brodeur, 41, has not been a backup goalie during his 20-season career spent entirely with the Devils and it has him considering what happens next. "My heart is," Brodeur told reporters about playing one more season. "My body could be a different story. We'll see. I'll see what the best scenario is for me if it's back in New Jersey or somewhere else. But right now, my heart is here to try and finish strong and prove that I can still be a big impact in hockey games." The Devils [were] coming off a 2-1 overtime win against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night. "When you think about back-to-back [games], you think you're going to get one of them," Brodeur said.

True. A 41-year old backup isn't a bad thing, I think it's more his ego.

With Jagr playing in NJ I'm guessing the Devils win in the category of having the most players over the age of 40.

Every team needs to steel a goal once in awhile. Some more than others.
